I have always secretly envied runners - they look so calm, confident, and powerful jogging along as I lazily drive my car by. I never thought I could be one of them and then I discovered the Couch to 5K program. Suddenly it seemed possible! Around the same time my sister discovered running while on deployment in Afghanistan. We decided to start training and registered for our first half marathon in Disneyland, January 2013.
This blog is a place for me to share my experience becoming a runner, perhaps it will inspire someone else to start their own journey, certainly it will help me stay motivated. I'll also write a bit about my return to school and my educational adventures on my way to Athletic Trainer certification. Will I be able to juggle 1/2 marathon training, a full-time class load, and a part-time job? Stay tuned to find out!
